We are in the final stages of pre-production work on the 2009 Limited Edition building. This release is a project combining the talents of a number of people, BUT, what makes it so very special is that the original drawings we used to create it were the last set known to come from the hands of Walter Brockmann himself. The intense attention to detail is in large part the reason for the time it has taken to complete. While changes were necessary to create a workable mold, the original concept Mr. Brockmann set out has been preserved. There will also be directions for the sale of these very limited buildings. Our intent is to make them equally available to all collectors, knowing not all who want one will be able to purchase it. The final sculpture is complete. It's maker has put together a set of blocks that retain the look I wanted while permitting the molds to be as workable as possible. One never fully appreciates how hard the sculpture/mold maker works to carry through a design.The young lady doing the clay work has been in the industry for many years and is one of the best in her field, something this piece tested.While managing the work through each step,. I believe I have taken the original drawings to create a building Mr. Brockmann would be proud to place his name. I have tried to combine his ideas and the original style of early pieces while incorporating new ideas to make it representative of pieces to come.As the artist finishing this piece, I hope I have successfully followed in the footsteps of the many quality people who worked with WB Studios for so many years. Hopefully our loyal collectors will share my enthusiasm for this special building.Only 75 pieces will be produced . There will also be 5 artist's proofs. Each piece will be signed and numbered. There will be a notarized certificate of authenticity as well as the building's history suitable for framing included with each purchase.Based on input from a number of collectors, we decided our original sales program was unlikely to produce an equitable distribution of the production lot. Despite the temptation to make additional pieces, we are intent on keeping with our original decision to produce 75 pieces plus 5 artist proofs.While we believe we have implimented a fair sales program, we welcome additional suggestions before formally announcing it. We expect the first buildings to be available soon. It is our present intent to release 10 buildings at a time. Buildings 1 and 75, plus the artist's proofs will be in the final sales group.Our mailing list will be notified when the first photo of this piece is posted. There will be plenty of time to answer any questions before the first set of buildings is offered.
