Thank you for taking a look at the WB Studios website. To say that it is in transition would be an understatement.

As we continue to unpack the numerous boxes transferred from St. Louis to Oklahoma City, a small number of older pieces are found. Soon we will have enough to make them available to those on our mailing list.

In addition, there IS a new, Limited Edition piece for 2009. It has an interesting history dating back to the conflict between WB Studios and Department 56. It is that dispute that prevented this piece from being produced. A pre-production photo of the prototype will be on the site shortly.

We are in the process now of having sculptures made from the original piece and have made a few changes we feel add to its already elegant appearance. The trademark "bluebird" will return and be on all future pieces.

In the past, owners of the studio offered "Limited Edition" pieces, the sale of which were well beyond their potential demand. Many were released that offered two and three times the number of customers who had previously purchased from the company. One of these, had it sold out, would have created gross revenue that would have exceeded the total gross revenue from 1964 to 2005.

It was this ideology that doomed any potential investment quality to the pieces or their price.

For the 2009 piece, only 75  will be produced. There will also be 5 artist's proofs. Each piece will be numbered and signed by the artist.

We are limiting quantities to two buildings per person. Needless to say, we must rely on the honesty of our customers as we cannot stop a person from using more than one name and shipping address. Our hope is that while limited, a reasonable number of people will have access to the piece.

By limiting this production as we are, and having a mailing list of more than 700, there can be a reasonable expectation that the building will increase in value, something that has been woefully lacking with prior releases. We believe our customers and those they choose to share their piece(s) with will be able to expect to not only maintain the value. but have will have a market of ready buyers willing to invest more in each piece to add to their collections.

Another page to be added very soon will be a "buyers" and "sellers" area where pieces people are looking for can be found and those wishing to sell will find a ready market awaiting them. Only the piece, a photo and price will be listed so there will be no intrusion on the privacy of any customer. We will act as the intermediary and transfer information between the parties.
